Applications are now open for Round Five of the Safer Communities Fund, with communities across Australia set to share in up to $55.1 million in grants to improve public safety and security.
The Safer Communities Fund Round 5 Infrastructure grants provide schools and pre-schools, places of religious worship, community organisations and local councils with grants of up to $1 million for crime prevention initiatives aimed at reducing crime, violence, anti-social behaviour and/or other security risks driven by racial and/or religious intolerance.
Applications close 5pm on Tuesday, 10 December 2019.
The aim of the program is to increase feelings of safety in the Australian community and to reduce crime, violence and anti-social behaviour. We all have the right to feel safe.
