GP clinics in Mitchell are assisting in the testing and tracing of COVID-19 as part of the Australian Government’s $2.4 billion health response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

More than 100 clinics are now open around the country, including Castle Hill, to assess and test patients with mild to moderate COVID-19-like symptoms, reducing pressure on hospital emergency departments and local general practices.

This year’s Hills Relay for Life will go virtual on 16 May 2020 from 2pm to 6pm. The virtual relay will have all the important elements including, the Opening Ceremony and Hope Ceremony, along with some new elements such as a baking demonstration. 3 step framework for a COVIDSafe Australia

National Cabinet has released a 3-step framework to gradually remove baseline restrictions and make Australia COVID-safe. Australia has so far been highly successful in ‘flattening the curve’. We can now begin to take careful steps to ease some of the restrictions that have helped us suppress the spread of this virus.

The app is an important public health initiative that will help keep you, your family, and your community safe from further spread of coronavirus through early notification of possible exposure.

Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, said everyone in North West Sydney is doing an extraordinary job to flatten the curve and contain the spread of the coronavirus, but we cannot be complacent.
